The production of welding wire paper barrels uses environmentally friendly cardboard as the core material, taking into account both strength and recyclability, and is suitable for the storage and transportation protection of welding wires. The core process can be divided into four major steps: raw material pre-treatment, barrel body shaping, assembly and reinforcement, and final product inspection.
The raw materials are selected from 250 to 350 g/m² fully wood-pulp kraft paper or boxboard. They are precisely cut according to the drawings to ensure that the size tolerance meets the standards. To enhance moisture resistance and durability, the surface of the paper board needs to undergo coating treatment, and both the inner and outer barrel walls must complete this process. The adhesive used is polyvinyl alcohol solution, which ensures the bonding strength and environmental friendliness.
The barrel body is formed with a double-layer structure design. The inner and outer barrel walls are respectively formed by bending and joining. The connection points are fixed with glue or industrial staples. Subsequently, the inner barrel wall is sleeved inside the outer barrel wall to ensure that the concentricity deviation is no more than 5mm, thereby enhancing the overall supportability.
During the assembly stage, the bottom of the barrel is fixed to the barrel body using staples. For circular paper barrels, galvanized iron hoops are added to reinforce the opening part. For polygonal barrels, non-metallic soft lifting rings are installed. After the barrel lid is folded according to the crease pattern, a flexible locking ring that can be easily opened is assembled. Finally, the label is printed on the barrel body to complete the overall assembly.
The finished products must undergo strict inspections, including appearance (no dents, no glue separation), dimensional accuracy, impact resistance and stacking performance tests, to ensure that the welding wires can be effectively protected during storage and transportation, and to avoid damage and moisture absorption. Finally, they must meet the requirements of relevant standards such as GB/T 14187.
